In addition to the photographs and descriptions, our walk guides also include the route outlined on a map. We’ve chosen to work with HARVEY Maps, as we feel their maps are ideal for walkers. In general, we think their maps tend to be a little clearer for hikers, providing lots of info you’ll need whilst not cluttering the map with info you won’t.
In particular, we like to use their Ultramap XT40 maps for the Peak District. They show loads of info on a 1:40,000 map, yet are really small and easily fit into a pocket. No flapping around in the wind when trying to find where you’re going. Waterproof, and tough, and 1:25,000 maps are available too.
